I need to take some of my own advice . . .
At my “ladies luncheon” meeting last month, we introduced ourselves and shared our personal mantra. One of my peers in the group had the mantra “Just go live!” She works in the area of IT consulting.
I’ve been thinking about that mantra for the past few weeks. During the summer, I (basically) have to work part-time since I’m a single mother of three girls. My full-time job becomes “Uber driver” for their various activities and sporting events.
As a result, writing my blog and sending out my newsletter definitely went on the “back burner” to a demanding workload—both in and out of the office.
I know that my IT audience is probably cringing at that mantra.
“What? You can’t just go live! You have to test it in the lab, do user acceptance testing, etc, etc.”
I don’t disagree with that, but sometimes you can REALLY over-analyze a situation. Sometimes you just need to pull the trigger and “Go live!”
So no more excuses. Welcome back to my blog. If you would like to receive a copy of my monthly newsletter please email me at deb@truenorthkc.com.
What have YOU been putting off that you just need to take a few minutes and “Go live!” with?
